Actuarial Associate
Actuarial Associate responsible for underwriting, pricing, reserving, reporting and automation for Turaco’s insurance products. Role sits in the Nairobi Service Center within the Insurance Operations team reporting to the Head of Insurance Operations.
What you'll do
- Develop and review micro-underwriting policies with operations and commercial teams
- Build underwriting infrastructure and regulator-ready data structures with technology
- Own product pricing and run experience studies to inform pricing decisions
- Automate regulatory and management reporting and analytical workflows
- Track product performance and build dashboards from policy and claims data
What they're looking for
- Advanced degree in Actuarial Science, Insurance, or related field
- Professional actuarial papers desired
- At least 2 years of professional actuarial or analytics experience
- Hands-on experience with Python, R or SQL and visualization tools
- Experience automating data pipelines, models or reports
