Engineering Manager
Engineering Manager responsible for planning and delivering software products for Moniepoint’s new Kenya operation. The role leads cross-functional engineering teams to execute product features and maintain technical quality.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end delivery across cross-functional product teams
- Translate product requirements into EPICs and technical user stories
- Plan and drive sprint execution, timelines, and milestones
- Guide design decisions, participate in code reviews, enforce quality
- Monitor SLIs/SLOs and manage incident response and observability
What they're looking for
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 8-10 years in hands-on software development roles
- 5+ years building production systems with Java and Spring Boot
- Minimum 3 years of engineering leadership experience managing teams
- Familiarity with Agile practices, CI/CD, and monitoring tools
